It was a special experience in this restaurant, especially since I brought my friend who came for the first time in Nottingham, the food was delicious, we tried three different types of pasta, with salmon, king prawn, and tomato with cheese, and I want to send my special thanks to the waitress (Lucia) because she served us perfectly, especially with some of our preferences that we did not want any type of wine in our dishes, so she went and double check that it was not in several times, so I hope that she will be rewarded for what she deserves for her amazing hard work.

Found our new favourite restaurant in Nortingham! Food flavours and textures were simply awesome, service terrific. We had the 27 layer lasagne to share alingside the chateaubriand and it was just awesome. 100% will be returning! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Thanks to the whole team especially Matteo for fitting us in for dinner Sat 16 Nov. Lovely bar area, great buzz, stylish and warm - the Champagne was lovely. The 25th anniversary Piccolinos are celebrating in 2024 match our 25th wedding anniversary celebrations and we had a wonderful dining experience. Service was spot on (thanks Hannah), attentive and not intrusive. Beautifully judged dishes, well presented. We will return for sure. We loved the fact the staff speak Italian and it was a pleasure to speak la bella lingua Italiana. Grazie!

I had booked a meal for my bf’s birthday.. The service was really good, the staff was super friendly and the food was amazing! They also brought out a Tiramisu with a candle and sang happy birthday which my bf didn’t expect and had loved. Well taken care of throughout the night.

Piccolino is a lovely place to celebrate a special occasion. Some of the food is a bit more pricey but the quality makes up for this. The service is fantastic, all of the waiters were super friendly and inviting. We will definitely be returning here!

Fabulous as always. It’s been a while since I last came, and a few things have changed - new menus, some new staff, new rewards scheme - but some things don’t change. The food was excellent, we had the Capesante and Buffalo de tartufo to start - both very good - I had food envy for Mum’s scallops, but the amount of truffle on the mozzarella made up for it. Bistecca de Fiorentina to share as a main course - cooked perfectly, beautifully presented and full of flavour ( I wasn’t too upset that Mum couldn’t manage an even split of what was a delicious T-bone!). Last but not least, dessert... Classic Tiramisu for Mum - a slightly stronger focus on the almonds than usual, but not unpleasant. I had the budino di panettone (Mum’s turn for food envy), with a glass of Passito - the perfect pairing for this sweet, moreish, Italian bread & butter pudding. At the end of a large meal, I was dubious about finishing with custard, but it was of course a light, vanilla almost-mousse version of custard that was the perfect accompaniment to the apricot-laden goodness of this pud. Of course, the evening wouldn’t be complete without the staff - Gabriele our server was attentive and oh so patient (I was picky with the wine and tried 3 before deciding) - nothing was too much trouble, but he was equally looking out for our best interests (e.g. making sure I knew the price of the wine he’d recommended before I ordered). Overall, a lovely evening, and one I hope to repeat in the not too distant future. One point off for atmosphere, as I was in a slight cold spot - not enough to move for, but enough that I borrowed Mum’s scarf to keep the chill off my neck.

Would highly recommend. Extremely friendly staff and excellent food. A good choice on the menu all really well cooked. We had a large group and everything was served together nice and hot. No waiting for a drink or service. I will definitely be going again next time I'm in the area.
